Reps. Rebimbas and Labriola Endorse Simmons
(MYSTIC) - The Simmons for Senate campaign today announced that State Representatives David Labriola and Rosa Rebimbas endorse Rob Simmons for U.S. Senate.
"Rob Simmons' experience, character and electability make him the best possible candidate for Republicans in 2010," said Labriola, an assistant leader of the Republican House caucus and the chairman of the House Republican Campaign Committee who represents Naugatuck, Oxford and Southbury.
Rebimbas, a freshman legislator representing Naugatuck, added, "Rob Simmons is a man of integrity who always puts service above self. He will make Connecticut proud as its next U.S. Senator."
"I am honored to have the support of Reps. Labriola and Rebimbas," said Simmons. "Dave and Rosa are highly respected members of their community who will be valuable advocates for my campaign in the greater Waterbury region."
Labriola is in his fourth term and is a former ranking member on the House Education Committee. He is a former Naugatuck Republican Town Committee Chairman, a position he held from 1988 to 1991 and a former Naugatuck Police Commissioner.
