National Security and Veterans

I am honored to have served in the U.S. Army and the CIA, putting my life on the line on difficult and dangerous missions abroad to protect our people and our interests. America owes no apologies for supporting freedom and democracy abroad. As a Vietnam veteran and former intelligence officer, I will work tirelessly in the Senate to strengthen our national security both at home and abroad. I will fight to ensure that our military remains the best in the world, and that our veterans receive all the benefits they have earned.
