(MYSTIC) - Rob Simmons, candidate for US Senate, made the following statement in reaction to Attorney General and Democratic Senate candidate Richard Blumenthal's debate performance in which he claimed that "our lawsuits, our legal actions actually create jobs":

"As if the Democrats strategy of taxing, spending and regulating our way to prosperity was not bad enough, Richard Blumenthal's bizarre statement that his lawsuits 'actually create jobs' is a revealing confession that he has no idea what ails our economy or how to get it back on track.  My Plan for Prosperity is a real prescription for economic renewal that will create millions of new jobs by reinvigorating small businesses, cutting taxes, reducing the deficit, and reducing frivolous lawsuits."
